G100 Hall Flowmeter

Category:

The G100 Hall flowmeter is designed and manufactured to GB/T 1482-2010. It is used to determine the flowability of metal powders (including cemented carbide powders) by the standard funnel method. It applies to powders that can flow freely through a standard funnel with an orifice of 2.5 mm or 5.0 mm.

Scope and principle

Scope Designed to GB/T 1482-2010. Used to determine the flowability of metal powders (including cemented carbide powders) by the standard funnel method.
Principle Measure the time required for 50 g of metal powder to flow through a standard funnel.

Apparatus

Standard funnel (2.5 mm and 5.0 mm orifices) Made of stainless steel (304), with sufficient wall thickness and hardness to resist deformation and excessive wear.
Stand and vibration-free base Supports the funnel stably.
Balance (optional) Sufficient capacity, readable to ±0.05 g.
Stopwatch Readable to ±0.01 s.
Cylinder 25 mL stainless steel (304) cylinder. The standard funnel method in GB/T 1479.1-2011 may also be used to measure the bulk density of metal powder.

Test procedure

  • Close the funnel outlet with a finger and place the sample in the funnel so that powder fills the bottom.
  • Start the stopwatch when the orifice is opened; stop it when the funnel is empty.
  • Record the time to 0.1 s.
