The D100 angle of repose tester is designed and manufactured to GB/T 16913-2008. It is used to measure the angle of repose of powder by the limited-base pouring method.

| Principle | Pour enough powder from the funnel to overflow the pan; measure the acute angle between the powder slope and the horizontal base. That angle is the angle of repose. |
Test procedure
- A. Assemble the apparatus on the bench, level it, and set the protractor vertical;
- B. Close the funnel outlet with the stopper. Fill the sample cylinder, level it with a scraper, and pour the sample into the funnel;
- C. Remove the stopper so the powder flows from the funnel. For poorly flowing powder, stir with a rod so it falls continuously onto the pan. After all powder has flowed, rotate the protractor to measure the acute angle between the generatrix of the heap and the horizontal plane, and record it as the angle of repose;
- D. Repeat 3 to 5 times and calculate the arithmetic mean and mean square deviation;
- E. Calculate and report the result.
