Frariv Printer Connector

Frariv Printer Connector is an Android helper app that scans for the printer SoftAP (SSID like Frariv-Printer-******), connects to it, then opens http://192.168.4.1/ in the system browser for the printer Web login / setup page.

Features

• Requests scan permissions (Nearby devices on Android 13+; Location on earlier versions)
• Scans and filters Frariv-Printer-* networks
• Auto-connects when only one device is found; otherwise shows a list
• Android 11+: system “Add network” confirmation; Android 10: WifiNetworkSpecifier fallback
• Probes the Web UI briefly, then launches the system browser
• “Open browser only” when you are already connected to the hotspot

How to use

1. Power on the printer and switch it to AP mode.
2. Enable Wi‑Fi on the phone, install and launch the app.
3. Grant scan permissions and wait for the SoftAP list.
4. After connecting, the browser opens http://192.168.4.1/.

Notes

• While joined to the printer hotspot, mobile data / internet is usually unavailable — this is expected.
• If no devices appear: move closer, disable VPN, and turn off Wi‑Fi assistants that force a switch back to the internet.
• Some phones show a system “connect to device” prompt — tap Allow.
• Default SoftAP password is documented with the device (firmware commonly uses 12345678).
